2019-21 saw the birth of many start-ups due to individuals being affected by the pandemic. A particular type of start-up that caught my attention due to its ability to bring people together during a very dark time were food pop-ups.
They were everywhere, it was beautiful. People that were passionate about food and cooking but had previously been working in a totally unrelated 9-5 had found an opportunity in extremely difficult circumstances and had the courage to go for it, as did all those that started something new. Food brings people together and the strength of community, particularly in Worthing, was amazing as we all supported each others business as best we could.
Some of the start-ups unfortunately faded but it also saw some of them absolutely flourish.
Here’s a logo concept I designed for a food pop-up/restaurant that strips everything back and focuses on what’s important, the tools and the passion.
